1975 BB Electronics A/S was set up in the town of Horsens in mainland Denmark, aimed at servicing the rapidly growing Danish market for printed circuit boards and efficient assembly of electronic equipment. The name stems from the initials of the two founders, Bjarne Skovsbøll and Bent Hede.

1975–1998 The company expanded continuously, acquiring new premises and facilities. 

1998 The two founders of the company began the process of transferring ownership to a new generation. Axcel, a major Danish industrial investment company, became a shareholder. 

1999 The company opened a purchasing office in Singapore with a view to cost-effective sourcing of components and systems directly from manufacturers operating in the Far East.

1999–2002 Further expansion saw the building of a complete new production facility, and the takeover of one of BB Electronics’ major competitors on the Danish market. 

2003–2005 A wholly owned subsidiary – BB Electronics Suzhou Co. Ltd. – was set up in the China. This production facility was officially opened on 18 March 2004.

2006–2012 Opening sales offices in Sweden and Norway. LEAN optimization throughout the organization. Merging facilities to two top modern sites in Horsens and Suzhou.
